Jaguars Force Rams to Wear Worst Uniform Combo

Sunday marks the second home game for the Jaguars, and the first in three weeks after two road trips and a game in London. Much like the Titans game nearly a month ago, Jacksonville has decided to sport white uniforms at home. The Rams will be forced to wearing their blue jerseys, which wouldn't be an issue if it weren't for their other uniform miscues.

Jacksonville looks to break a rough losing streak, as the white jersey and white pants combination is 2-14 since the Nike redesign in 2013. Even when the Jaguars try to mix it up with the black pants, they are 5-17. Clearly, the white jerseys have not seen a lot of success (much like the entire franchise).

With the Rams having moved to Los Angeles, the franchise has decided to dump gold from their identity. Well, mostly. The team logo is now solely white and blue, as are the helmets with the infamous ram horns. The problem is with the rest of the uniform - it still has gold. The reason why is because of the NFL's uniform rules. A team is only allowed to change uniform designs (in large scale; minor tweaks are allowed) every five years. The Rams want to have new uniforms when they move in to their new LA stadium, so they've decided to have a a few lame duck seasons when it comes to the on-field aesthetics.

The Rams have combated this issue for the most part, as they now wear all white at home since it has the fewest traces of gold. But, as we will see this weekend and have previously at Dallas, when the home team decides to wear white, LA is stuck with blue.

This week, they're throwing in another wrinkle. The Rams will be wearing their white pants with the blue tops, as opposed to the blue pants like they did versus Dallas. Hopefully this keeps the uniforms looking a little better, but we all know it won't look as good as it could. I'm still not sure why they didn't just decide to wear their amazing yellow and blue throwbacks all season long.

The Rams and Jaguars kick off at 3:05 CT on FOX.
