What Does the Preseason Mean for the Jaguars' Uniforms?

The Preseason has finally come to a close, and the regular season is just around the corner. No one enjoys the Preseason, as the games mean nothing and there's so many names that just aren't recognizable. Now that the 53-man roster is set, the NFL teams are gearing up for the long season ahead. But what do these four games mean for the regular season? Well, there's plenty of opinions on the gameplay and personnel, but here, we care about the uniforms.

In the second half of the last season, the Jaguars got smart with their uniforms and quit wearing monochrome unis, for the most part. Since the redesign in 2013, Jacksonville has enjoyed wearing all-black or all-white, rarely mixing up pants and jerseys. The team wore black-on-black the entire 2013 season, and only went white-on-black a few games. They decided to mix it up a bit more in 2014, and then rarely wore the same color pants and jerseys for the 2015 season.

The first preseason game was a road trip to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The Jets decided to wear all white, so the Jags got to wear their black tops. Thankfully, keeping with the recent trend, Jacksonville wore the white pants for the game.

The second and third games were played at home at EverBank Field, and the Jaguars sporting their black and white look once again.

For the final game, played in Atlanta against the Falcons, the Jaguars went all-white for the first time in 2016.

Wins and loses don't mean much (or anything) during the preseason, but the Jaguars wound up 1-3. Again, there's plenty of reports on the final roster and the outlook on the season elsewhere on the internet.

The Jaguars' certainly don't have the best uniforms in the league anymore, but the last year or so has seen Jacksonville do what they can to make the team look better. Staying away from the all-black look is a great choice, and hopefully they'll save it for a game or two for the future. The white-on-black is personally my favorite look for the Jaguars.

The 2016 season can be a special one for the Jaguars. Hopefully the team will wear the best looking uniform combinations throughout the year.
